On Trunkt!

Yesterday we applied to be on Trunkt. The answer came back within a couple of hours - so fast I thought it must be a mistake! I read and reread the email to be sure and then went to Trunkt where I could see our portfolio! So cool!
We have been thinking about applying to Trunkt for ages. We are confident in our craftsmanship and artistic abilities. We love what we do. We regularly pull things out of the kiln jumping up and down and shouting, "This rocks! I love it!" So why is it so hard to put ourselves out there? If we were rejected from Trunkt, it wouldn't change the quality of our work. So why did we wait so long to apply?

AWESOME - CONGRATULATIONS!!! I completely hear you. I applied after having 1 wine too many one night and almost fell off my chair when they accepted me within minutes. Had I not been drinking wine, I would never have applied :)

YAY!!! Congrats :)
I feel the same way when applying to anything-- who doesn't like validation and hate rejection?? It is always a scary thing for me

Congrats on Trunkt!! :D

Congratulations!

I applied and then heard nothing for over a week. Nothing in my spam filter pro or con. It was weird so I thought I made some error when I applied so I started to reapply only to find out my name had been taken. By me! I had an account and had apparently been accepted within the first hour.

I figure most art shows charge you to apply whether or not you get accepted, plus some actually still ask for slides. So why not?
